Hi, I am Maria
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Spain wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a work opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Routine tasks felt more challenging than expected.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt secure.
Why I Created Kind Ridge Vision
Most online information was either relocation guidance at corporate level or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism board resource
- Promoted-review platform
- Just another travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Spain continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep noting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Maria
